First day of peace for a month! Only five free weeks until uni exams are over and full house situation resumes - although to be fair, daughter has a three month (unpaid) internship in London starting end June, so she'll only be back for a month at that point. So I'm still here. Have survived Easter weekend with a full house and am busy being mum for the month while both kids are home for their Easter hols from uni - mostly revising for May exams. Am barricaded into house whilst the front porch is being retiled. Ha! Not true. Have a back door to exit via, not to mention new, fully functioning, French doors in the dining room. The old set had been permanently locked since daughter broke the handles about five years ago, so this does in fact seem like a luxury ( Read more... )

Still here, but been busy tidying up and washing curtains since the window fitters departed two days ago. Just had the phone engineer in to re-route phone wire that used to come in through old front door's wooden frame, plus install BT Infinity.
